Well it’s the Christmas season once more and many people will be looking down at there waist wondering why there pants are much tighter than they remember. This is the time Gym owners rub there hands in glee because January is there busiest month. Many people though either can’t afford a regular Gym membership, can’t (or won’t) find the time or don’t feel comfortable in a Gym. Models with a slim body and toned abs parading up and down showing off the latest piece of at home exercise equipment. Common sense should tell us that they didn’t get that honed sexy body by only using the equipment they’re demonstrating but sadly common sense isn’t common and many of us will take out our credit cards and rush to the phone hoping this time it’ll be different.
This type of advertising appeals to our weaknesses. The dream that by doing very little we can get the results we want. We’re therefore already partly convinced that it’ll work for us and so we get suckered in once again. So we push reality aside and go for fantasy instead and get ripped off again. But it isn’t any different because such a piece of equipment just doesn’t exist if it did everyone would be fit and it’s obvious by looking around that that isn’t the case.
